The Menu bar

The Menu bar displays the following options:
Menu Bar Options
Main
Advanced
PCIPnP
Boot
Security
Chipset
Information
Exit
Each Menu bar option represents a different configuration menu. You can choose
among the different menus using the Left and Right arrow keys.

The Legend window

When you choose a specific menu, the Legend window provides a list of the keys
necessary to navigate through that specific menu and its submenu(s) and items.
To access the list of all navigation keys available in the BIOS Setup utility, press F1.
The following table lists all the navigation keys and describes their uses:
Key
Function
- or +
Displays the previous (-) or next (+) setting for the current item.
Esc
Performs one of the following, depending on the context: discards changes to a
menu item, exits the current menu item, or exits the BIOS Setup utility.
← or → arrows
Selects a different menu (does not work if you are in a submenu or sub-submenu).
↑ or ↓ arrows
Moves the cursor up or down.
PageUp, PageDown,
PageUp and PageDown moves the cursor up or down one full screen.
Home, and End
Home and End selects the first or the last item on the page.
F1
Displays the General Help window.
F2 or F3
Changes the screen colors.
F7
Discards all changes.
F8
Loads the fail-safe default values for all menus.
F9
Loads the optimal default values for all menus.
F10
Saves all changes, exits the BIOS Setup utility, and reboots the unit.
Enter
Performs one of the following, depending on the context: selects a submenu or sub-
submenu, displays all options for the selection, or executes the selected configuration.
Description
Configures basic computer properties.
Configures advanced computer properties.
Configures Plug and Play computer properties.
Configures various boot-up properties.
Configures access to the BIOS Setup utility.
Configures the chipset (north bridge and south bridge).
Displays basic information about the unit.
Saves or discards any new configuration changes.
