24 Chapter 1: Before you begin
Inspecting the Matrox 4Sight X package
The following tables list standard and optional items that can be included in the
Matrox 4Sight X package. If anything is missing or damaged, contact Matrox for
assistance.
You will receive different items depending on whether you ordered:
• The integrated-unit version of Matrox 4Sight X.
• The motherboard-only version of Matrox 4Sight X.
• Additional components.
Integrated-unit version
If you have purchased the integrated-unit version of Matrox 4Sight X, the package
should include the following standard items:

Encases the following components:
• The Matrox 4Sight X motherboard.
• Two DDR2 533/667 MHz SO-DIMM memory modules.
• A 40-Gbyte mass storage device.
• A cooling fan.
• A riser board (Matrox 4Sight XB unit only).
• An acquisition board (if ordered) and its corresponding faceplate(s) with
external connector(s). For the Matrox 4Sight XB unit, one or two full-height,

Matrox sales representative for a list of supported boards.
For the PCI/104-Express Matrox 4Sight X unit, any of the following boards
can be factory installed:
- Matrox Solios eM-CLB or eM-CLF.
- Matrox Nexis for PCI-104. Note that you can also order two of these
boards to be factory installed with an appropriate faceplate.
- Matrox Morphis Dual for PCI-104.
- Matrox Meteor-II /Multi-Channel for PCI-104.
