Default options

There are two sets of default options for items in the BIOS Setup utility: fail-safe
defaults and optimal defaults. If an item has different defaults (fail-safe or optimal),
it will be indicated; otherwise a "default" is both a fail-safe and an optimal default.
For more information about fail-safe defaults and optimal defaults, see the Exit
menu section later in this appendix.
❖ Note that in the following pages, the default option for a specific item is indicated
with an asterisk (*).
