Corrective Action
Make sure the tape library and the tape drives are not being used
by the host computer then reset the tape library. If the error still
occurs, replace the SMC controller card.
If the door is open, close the door. Lock the front door to resume
the tape library's operation. If the door is securely locked, replace
the front panel.
Open the door. Look for anything that might be obstructing the
path of the CHM along the short axis. If there are no obstructions,
you may need to replace the tape library.
Make sure the tape library and the tape drives are not being used
by the host computer then reset the tape library. If the error still
occurs, replace the SMC controller card.
Open the door. Look for anything that might be obstructing the
path of the CHM along the long axis. Make sure that the axis belt is
intact. If there are no obstructions and the belt is intact, you may
need to replace the SMC controller card. If replacing the SMC
controller card does not help, replace the tape library.
Make certain that the port you are sending commands through is
also the port that has control through the Control Mode Menu.
If you operate the tape library with only one drive, you must have
a drive blank installed in the left or bottom drive carrier slot.
Install a drive blank in the left or bottom carrier slot.
No corrective action required.
There may be a problem with the tape drive. Try replacing the tape
drive.
