Clean the External Surface of the Instrument

Keep the external surface of the instrument clean using the following method.
1
Turn off the power of the instrument and unplug the power cord.
To avoid the risk of electrical shock, make sure to power off the instrument
WARNING
and unplug the power cord from the power outlet.

Gently wipe the surface of the instrument with a clean soft cloth soaked with
NovoRinse solution (1X).

Wipe the surface again using a clean soft cloth.
4
Reconnect the power cord of the instrument.
The surface of the instrument may be contaminated by biological samples
WARNING
which may be biohazardous. Ensure to wear appropriate personal
protective equipment (e.g. gloves, clothing, and eyewear) when cleaning
the surface.
Do not use isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or ethanol to clean the instrument
CAUTION
surface.

Decontamination

The decontamination procedure can be used either after a known contamination
has occurred, or as a preventative maintenance procedure to minimize or prevent
the occurrence of contamination in the fluidics system.
A Decontamination Kit is required to run this procedure. Please consult with Agilent
NOTE
local representative for ordering information for your product.
The Decontamination function is only available when Decontaminate Instrument
NOTE
privilege is enabled. Refer to
this privilege.

Click Instrument > Fluidics Maintenance > Decontamination from the
