Unscheduled Maintenance

The following instrument components should be checked occasionally, and
maintenance or cleaning should be conducted when necessary. The frequency
depends on how often the instrument is used. Other components not listed here
should also be checked periodically for wear and replacement if necessary.

Debubble
When the CV of the data is larger than normal or the QC Test fails, there is a
possibility that bubbles exist inside the flow cell. In this case, the following
procedure should be conducted to remove the bubbles.
When the instrument is in Ready status, click Instrument > Fluidics Maintenance >
Debubble from the NovoExpress software to execute the Debubble procedure.

When to Perform
The CV of the data is larger than normal.
QC test failed.
No events showed up after sample collection
started for certain period of time.
Instrument was not used for over one week.
Keep the external surface of the instrument clean.
When suspecting contamination in the system.
No plan to run the instrument for more than two
weeks.
Instrument has not been used for more than two
weeks.
The instrument needs to be shipped.
Abnormal warning about the liquid level in the
reagent containers is observed.
The optical filters get dirty.
The CV of the data is larger than normal.
QC test failed.
Excessive debris in display.
