The NovoCyte Quanteon flow cytometer has a very large dynamic range (0 to
2²⁴=16,777,216), so the data will often only occupy a small area of the plot when
using the full-scale axes. Zoom-in to enlarge the data area of interest. To zoom in,
click the zoom-in icon
selected plot and select Zoom In from the drop-down list. Move the mouse across
a rectangular area to zoom in the population of interest. Upon release of the
mouse button, the range of the plot is automatically enlarged according to the
zoom-in operation. You can also Undo the Zoom In operation by clicking the undo
icon
the data of interest is properly shown on the plot as shown in Figure 73.

Create a Gate for Lymphocytes
Click the elliptical gate icon
population (large PerCP signal and small SSC signal) on the CD45 PerCP-H/SSC-H
density plot. The default name of the gate is E1 (E indicates an elliptical gate). Click
the E1 gate label and use the keyboard to change the name of the gate to
Lymphocyte.
