Troubleshooting
This chapter describes general instrument troubleshooting and diagnostic
guidelines.
For technical support, please refer to
NOTE
Table 11 provides guidance on troubleshooting NovoCyte Quanteon instrument
and associated accessories.
For complete list of NovoExpress software prompted error or warning messages
when operating Agilent flow cytometer and associated accessories, please refer to
NovoExpress Software
Please contact Agilent Technical Support if issues are not resolved after performing
NOTE
the recommended solutions or if there are any issues which are not listed in these
two tables.
Investigate possible causes and perform the recommended solutions in the given
NOTE
order.

QC particles are expired or not
stored properly
Flow cell is clogged
Flow cell is dirty
Air bubbles exist in the flow
cell
Threshold is set too high
Sample concentration is too
low
Sample did not mix well

Recommended Solutions
Prepare a new tube of QC particles and mix
them well to run the QC test again.
Execute Unclog function from the NovoExpress
software.
Execute Cleaning function from the
NovoExpress software.
Execute Debubble function from the
NovoExpress Software.
Lower the threshold setting and re-collect the
sample.
Redo sample preparation using an appropriate
method to concentrate the sample.
Mix the sample well to suspend the cells.
