Opening a Telnet Session to the IF5

1 On your desktop PC, start Telnet.
2 In the Telnet window, type
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address of the IF5.
3 Press Enter. The login prompt appears.
4 Type
and press Enter. The password prompt

Starting and Stopping the Device Controller Manually

To start the device controller manually, open a Telnet session to
the IF5 and send this command at the $-prompt:
/usr/local/dc/sapdc &
To stop the device controller manually, open a Telnet session to
the IF5 and send this command at the $-prompt:
/usr/local/dc/dccontrol SHUTDOWN <port>
where port is the configured listening port. This parameter is
required only if the device controller is not using the default
listening port (9000).

Reconfiguring the Device Controller Manually

To reconfigure the device controller, first make your changes to
the SDCConfiguration.xml file, and then open a Telnet session
to the IF5. Send this command at the $-prompt:
/usr/local/dc/dccontrol RECONFIGURE
<MyDirectory><port>
where:
MyDirectory
is the URL of the new SDCConfiguration.xml file.
port
is the configured listening port. This parameter is
required only if the device controller is not using
the default listening port (9000).
