About the Intermec Ready-To-Work Indicator

IF5 Fixed Reader User's Manual
The blue Ready-To-Work Indicator shows when an application is
communicating with the data collection engine (DCE) on the
IF5. The next table explains the different states of the Ready-To-
Work indicator.
Ready-to-Work Indicator Status Descriptions
Status
Description
Off
IF5 does not have power.
Blinking
No application is communicating with the DCE.
Steady
IF5 developer tools are enabled (default). For more
information, see
Or, the SAP device controller edgeware is enabled. For
more information, see

Or, your custom application is communicating with the
DCE. You need to disable the developer tools and the
SAP device controller edgeware to use a custom
application. For more information, see
