Error Name
Description
This error type is used if a read or write service is refused due to
temporary unavailability of an application (e.g., a peripheral con-
troller during startup).
UNSPECIFIC
This error type is forwarded directly by the IO-Link master as an
error (no warning) for processing at a higher level.
VENDOR_SPECIFIC
This error type is forwarded directly by the IO-Link master as an
error (no warning) for processing at a higher level.
Error Name
Description
COM_ERR
With an error of this type, the IO-Link master generates a negative
response for the service if a communication error occurs during
the read or write service, e.g., an interruption of the SDCI connec-
tion.
I-SERVICE_TIMEOUT
For an error of this type, the IO-Link master generates a negative
response for the service if a read or write service waits longer
than the specified I-Service timeout in the master.
I-SERVICE_TIMEOUT
If the IO-Link master receives an event with event qualifier DL, er-
ror, event single shot and event code 0x5600, then a negative re-
sponse is generated and returned indicating a timeout of the ser-
vice.
I-SERVICE_TIMEOUT
If the IO-Link master receives an event with event qualifier AL, er-
ror, event single shot and event code 0x5800, then a negative re-
sponse is generated and returned indicating a timeout of the ser-
vice.
M_ISDU_CHECKSUM
For an error of this type, the IO-Link master generates a negative
response for the service when its data link layer (DLL) detects an
ISDU checksum error.
M_ISDU_ILLEGAL
For an error of this type, the IO-Link master generates a negative
response for the service if its data link layer (DLL) detects an ille-
gal ISDU service primitive.
VAL_LENOVRRUN
If the IO-Link master receives an event with event qualifier DL, er-
ror, event single shot and event code 0x5200, then a negative re-
sponse is generated and returned indicating that the permissible
parameter length of the service has been exceeded.
