Error Name
Description
SERV_NOTAVAIL
This error type is used if a parameter for a read or write service
cannot be accessed due to the current state of the device applica-
tion.
SERV_NOTAVAIL_LOCCTRL
This error type is used if a parameter cannot be accessed for a
read or write service due to an ongoing local operation on the de-
vice (e.g., operation or parameterization via on-board device con-
trol panel).
SERV_NOTAVAIL_DEVCTRL
This error type is used if a read or write service cannot be ac-
cessed due to a state of the device application due to an external
cause (e.g., parameterization during a teach-in operation or cali-
bration due to an external cause).
IDX_NOT_WRITEABLE
This error type is used if a service accesses a read-only parame-
ter in order to write to it.
PAR_VALOUTOFRNG
This error type is used if a service receives a parameter outside
its allowed range of values.
PAR_VALGTLIM
This error type is used if a write service receives a parameter
above its specified value range.
PAR_VALLTLIM
This error type is used if a write service receives a parameter be-
low its specified value range.
VAL_LENOVRRUN
This error type is used if, in a write service to a parameter, the
content is greater than the specified parameter length. This error
type is also used if a data object is too large to be processed by
the device application (e.g., due to a ISDU buffer size limit).
VAL_LENUNDRUN
This error type is used if, for a write service to a parameter, the
content is smaller than the specified parameter length (e.g., write
access by an Unsigned16 value to an Unsigned32 parameter).
FUNC_NOTAVAIL
This error type is used for a write service if its command code is
not supported by the device application (e.g., a system command
with an unimplemented value).
FUNC_UNAVAILTEMP
This error type is used for a write service if its command code
calls a device function that is not available due to the current state
of the device application (e.g., a system command).
This error type is used if values sent by an individual parameter
transfer are not compatible with other current parameter settings.
PAR_SETINCONSIST
This error type is used if a block parameter transfer ends with with
ParamDownloadEnd or ParamDownloadStore and the plausibility
check identifies inconsistencies.
