5.2 Alarm Output

You can enable beep tones and an alarm output signal (for external use) for
each input channel by setting its alarm criteria.
External alarm output requires connection to the external control terminals.
See "9.3 Alarm Signal Output (Alarm Output)" (p. 165) for details.

Checking Alarm Criteria

Alarm output status is displayed on the [Wave+Value], [Value+Cmnt], and
Waveform/Numerical screens.

Channel alarm status
ALM1 status indicator
ALM3 status indicator
• Yellow
: alarm criteria are satisfied
• Green: alarm criteria are not satisfied
: When
[Alarm Hold]
the indicator remains yellow because the criteria
remain satisfied (until measurement is
finished).
Alarm output status (ALM)
• Red: alarm signal output active
• Green: alarm signal output inactive
