Basic operations of the microscope (brightfield observation)

This section describes the operating procedures of the reflected light brightfield observation and the transmitted light
brightfield observation, which is the basis of observation methods. The reflected light simple polarization observation and
the reflected light differential interference contrast observation, etc. are described in "4 Various observation methods".

3-1 Reflected light brightfield observation procedures

1 Turn ON the main switch.
2 Select the reflected light illumination
3 Select the brightfield (BF) observation.
4 Select the light path. (Trinocular tube only)

Place a sample on the stage.

Engage the 10X objective in the light path.
7 Bring the sample into focus.
11 Adjust the aperture diaphragm and the field diaphragm.

Engage the objective with the magnification to be used in
the light path and bring the sample into focus.

Remove the analyzer, polarizer or
filters from the light path.

Adjust the brightness.
9 Adjust the interpupillary distance.
10 Adjust the diopter.
13 Adjust the brightness.
Start observation.
