Phenomena
f)
The peripheral area of the field
of view becomes dark. Or, the
brightness of the field of view is
not even.
g) Dust or dirt is visible in the field of
view.
h) The observation image glares.

The observation image is viewed
in white haziness or not visible
clearly.
Cause
The light path selection lever of the
trinocular tube is not stopped at the
correct position.
The observation method selector
knob or lever or the turret is at the
halfway position.
The objective is not correctly
engaged in the light path.
The nosepiece is not attached
correctly.
The centering of the field diaphragm
is not performed.
The field diaphragm is narrowed
down too much.
The filter is not engaged in the light
path correctly.
The ND filter lever is not stopped at
the correct position.
The ND filter is not linked completely. Set the ND filter correctly whether to

The analyzer and the polarizer are
not inserted correctly.
The tip of the eyepiece or objective or

Remedy
Stop the light path selection lever
of the trinocular tube at the position
where the clicking sound is heard.
Select the observation method
selector knob or lever or the turret
surely.
Turn the nosepiece to the position
where the clicking sound is heard
and engage the objective in the light
path.
Push in the nosepiece along the
mounting dovetail until it touches the
end, and secure it.
Perform the centering of the field
diaphragm correctly.
Open the field diaphragm sufficiently.
Stop the filter at the position where
the clicking sound is heard.
Stop the ND filter lever at the position
where the clicking sound is heard.

Push in the terminal of the halogen
bulb completely until it touches the
end.
Engage the analyzer and the
polarizer in the light path correctly.
Clean them sufficiently.
Adjust the aperture diaphragm
according to the numerical aperture
of the objective to use.
Replace with the objective for
UIS2(UIS) series.
Insert the dummy slider in the
nosepiece.
Push in the nosepiece along the
mounting dovetail until it touches the
end, and secure it.
Turn the nosepiece until the clicking
sound is heard and engage the
objective in the light path.
Clean them sufficiently.
