Transmitted brightfield/darkfield observation methods

This section describes the procedures of the transmitted brightfield/darkfield observation, which is the basic of all observations.
The transmitted phase contrast observation and transmitted simple polarization observation are explained in "5 Various observation
methods" on page 23.
If the analyzer for simple polarization and the polarizer are engaged in the light path, remove them from the light path.
Set the main switch to (ON).
Select BF (brightfield observation).
Place the specimen on the stage.
Engage the 10X objective in the light path.
Bring the specimen into focus and adjust the brightness.
Engage the objective you use in the light path and bring
the specimen into focus.
For brightfield observation, adjust the aperture diaphragm.
For darkfield observation, select DF (darkfield observation).
