Cause
The time for pressing the LIM switch and the SET switch on
the front of the microscope frame is short. (5 sec. or less)

5-5 Stage

Phenomena
a) When the stage is touched by
the hand, the image moves
significantly.
b) The stage does not move in the
Y-axis direction (front and back).
(U-SIC4R2/SIC4L2)
c) The tension of the X-axis and
Y-axis knobs is too tight or too
loose.
(U-SVRM/SVLM)
Repair request
If you cannot improve the phenomena after taking the above remedies, please contact Olympus for assistance.
At that time, please tell them the following information as well.
· Product name and abbreviation (Example: stage with coaxial knobs on the bottom right U-SVRM)
· Product number
· Phenomena
Set the main switch to (ON) while pressing the LIM switch and
the SET switch, and wait 5 seconds while pressing the LIM
switch and the SET switch.
Cause
The stage is not secured correctly.
The Y-axis is locked.
The tension of the X-axis and Y-axis
adjustment knobs is too tight or too
loose.
Remedy
Remedy
Secure the stage firmly.
Unlock the Y-axis.
Adjust the X-axis and Y-axis
adjustment knobs to the appropriate
tightness.
