Installation Position and Clearances
Install the drive vertically for sufficient airflow to cool the drive.
Note:
Contact Yaskawa or a Yaskawa representative for more information about installing drive models on their side.
A - Vertical installation

Install Single Drive
Use the clearances specified in
airflow to cool the drive.
A - 50 mm (2 in) minimum
B - 30 mm (1.2 in) minimum on each side

Install Drives Side-by-Side
You can install drive models 2004xB to 2082xB and 4002xB to 4044xB side-by-side.
When you install other drives side-by-side, make sure that you keep the necessary clearances between the drives for
single drive installation.
The installation clearances shown in
Method Selection = Side-by-Side Mounting].
Derate the output current to align with the ambient temperature. Refer to
Temperature on page 531
