REMOVAL

1. Remove fuel from frame. See
Fuel Tank.
2. Rotate engine. See 3.4 ENGINE ROTATION FOR SER-
VICE.
3. Remove exhaust header. See
4. For Firebolt and Lightning models, remove subframe tail
assembly. See 2.39 SUBFRAME TAIL ASSEMBLY AND
BODY WORK: FIREBOLT.
5. For Ulysses model, remove tail frame. See
AND RIGHT TAIL SECTION: ULYSSES
6. Remove rear shock. See 2.23 REAR SHOCK
7. Remove upper and lower fork clamps. See
CLAMPS.
8. Remove main wire harness. See
NESS.
9. Remove rear isolator fastener. See
TION FOR SERVICE.
10. See Figure 2-140. Lift and remove frame from the motor-
cycle.

INSTALLATION

1. Place frame over the motorcycle.
2. Install rear isolator fastener. See
TION.
3. Install main wire harness. See
NESS.
4. Install upper and lower fork clamps. See
CLAMPS.
5. Install rear shock. See 2.23 REAR SHOCK
6. For Firebolt and Lightning models, install subframe tail
assembly. See 2.39 SUBFRAME TAIL ASSEMBLY AND
BODY WORK: FIREBOLT.
7. For Ulysses model, install tail frame. See
RIGHT TAIL SECTION: ULYSSES
8. Install exhaust header. See
9. Rotate engine. See 3.4 ENGINE ROTATION FOR SER-
VICE.
