Get started with the XBee Smart Modem

This section describes how to connect the hardware in the XBee, and provides some examples you can
use to communicate with the device.
You should perform all of the steps below in the order shown.
1. Identify the kit contents
2. Determine cellular service and acquire a SIM card
3. Connect the hardware
4. Install and upgrade XCTU
5. Use one of the following methods to verify your cellular connection:
Connect to the Echo server

Connect to the ELIZA server

Connect to the Daytime server
