Modeling Operations
When changing the FDM head or tip, the Z stage platen should be lowered at
least 6 inches below the FDM head and the FDM head should be positioned
toward the front of the modeling envelope. The front door to the FDM must be
open when changing the FDM head, tip, or foam foundation. Press Pause or
Stop to unlock the front door. (The FDM 2000/3000/8000 interlock feature
prevents access through the front door until the Pause or Stop buttons are
pressed.) This illustration shows the proper positions of the FDM head and front
door.
