ICW06 (Investment Casting Wax)
Wax material supplied with the FDM system to generate investment cast-
ing models.
Insight
Unix and Windows NT-based software that slices STL models to create
SML code for running Stratasys FDM systems.
Keypad
The panel on the FDM hardware that controls tip flow and related func-
tions. It is located on the upper left corner of the FDM hardware.
Level (Z-level)
A single lamination of a part, having a two-dimensional geometry and a
specified thickness (sometimes referred to as a layer).
Level Thickness (Z-step size, Z-slice step, Z-interval, Z-height)
The thickness (Z-axis) of the material forming a level; also the distance
between adjacent cross-sectional levels of a CAD model.
Liquefier Temperature Control
See FDM Tip Temperature Control.
Load Filament Button
Allows the user to load filament into the FDM hardware. The button is
located directly to the left of the word "LOAD" on the keypad.
ABSi-P500
A class of ABS that has medium grain impact strength and can be steril-
ized without losing its toughness.
Main Flow
The rate of material flow required to achieve the selected road width.
Main Power Switch
The power switch located on the front panel of the FDM hardware.
Manual Directional Move Buttons
These buttons move the FDM tip(s) along the X-Y axis or the table along
the Z axis. They are located on the X-Y-Z Controller panel, next to the
directional arrows.
Model Support Button
This button toggles the use of the model and support tip.
