Preparing the FDM system for Modeling with the ICW

Installing Nylon Tip Wipe Brushes
When running wax, the tips will wipe on the nylon brushes located on the left
side of the build envelope. If you were running soluble release, you must first
remove the pre-tip wipe flicker and install the nylon brush assembly.

Remove 2 screws located below the pre-tip wipe flicker, and remove
flicker.

Install nylon brush holder in it's place.
Loading ICW into the FDM system

Checking the Keypad Setting

Press space 2 3 9 on the keypad on the FDM.

Press 5 enter

After you are finished running wax, and are switching back to soluble
material, you must put the setting back to 25
Change the head assembly according to procedures found in
the User guide in the FDM Hardware section.
Install the model and support tips according to the procedures
found in the user guide in the FDM Hardware section.
Investment Casting Wax tips
Remove the model and support filament seals from the back
plate using the 5/16" nut driver supplied in your start up kit.
Change the Watlow temperatures for wax according to the
chart in the FDM hardware section of this manual.
Slide the ICW-R support material onto the shaft.
Place the first spacer on the shaft and slide it on until it
touches the support spool.
Place the ICW model material spool on the shaft and slide it
on until it touches the spacer.
Place the second spacer on the spindle and slide it on until it
locks in place.
Load both the model and support materials into the FDM head
using the procedure found in the User manual in the FDM
Hardware section.
The screen should read ABS RB_SF
If the setting is 25, press 8 to change it
Press enter again to exit the keypad
