Switching the output pin
The P37/BZ/RCO pin serves as a general-purpose port, buzzer output, or remote-control
transmission frequency output pin. Note that this pin gives priority to buzzer output. To use the
pin as the remote-control transmission frequency output pin, therefore, be sure to write "00
the buzzer register (BZCR) to disable buzzer output.
Restriction on "H" width set value
In case of selecting 0.5 t

Changing set values during operation
The 6-bit counter for remote-control transmission frequency generation is compared directly with
the "H" width set bits (RCR1: HSC5 to HSC0) and with the cycle set bits (RCR2: SCL5 to
SCL0). If the cycle or "H" width set value is changed during operation of the counter, it may
cause an overflow, making the cycle longer until the next match is detected or the "H" width
longer until a match is detected in the next cycle.
Figure 13.6-1 illustrates the effects of changing set values during operation of the remote-
control transmission frequency generator.
