Fit the UNF coupling to the new capillary.
Requirement: Use a UNF coupling with no grooves, which is appropriate
for the IonSABRE II probe.

Use the needle-nose pliers to slide a new ferrule onto the capillary.
5.
Insert the capillary in the PEEK union, and ensure that it is fully
seated.
6.
Screw the UNF coupling into the PEEK union, finger-tight only.
7.
Gently tug on the capillary, testing to ensure that it stays in place.
8.
Use the 7-mm wrench to tighten the locknut against the PEEK union.
9.
Perform a leak test by attaching the free end of the PEEK tubing to an
LC pump and pumping 50:50 acetonitrile/water through it at 1 mL/min.
If leakage occurs, disassemble and remake the connection, and
repeat the leak test.
If the backpressure on the LC pump is high, replace the capillary,
and repeat the leak test.
10. When no leakage occurs and the backpressure on the LC pump is
normal, disconnect the PEEK tubing from the LC pump.
11. Remove the probe inlet connector and PEEK tubing from the PEEK
union.

knob.
14. Carefully thread the capillary through the probe assembly.
