Celerra Network Server Command Reference Manual
Manages a variety of configuration settings on the Control Station,
some of which are security based.
nas_config configures different IP addresses to point to the same
network device thereby enabling IP aliasing to manage the Control
Station. Communication with the primary Control Station is enabled
using a single IP address, regardless of whether the primary Control
Station is running in slot 0 or slot 1.
nas_config sets up the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate (an X509
certificate) on the Control Station. Celerra Manager uses SSL
encryption to protect the connection between the client computer and
the Control Station. The SSL certificate should be set up before using
Celerra Manager, but after setting up or modifying the Control
Station's network configuration. Specifically, the hostname, DNS
domain name, or IP address.
nas_config, using the -sessiontimeout option enables the native
timeout properties of the underlying shells on the Control Station
and sets a system-wide value that times out a Control Station shell
session after a specified period of inactivity.
nas_config must be executed by the root user.
-IPalias -list
Lists IP aliases configured on the Celerra Network Server.
-IPalias -create [ -name <device_name> ] <numeric_id>
Creates an IP alias for the Control Station. The <device_name> is an
optional name for a device. If specifying a device name, that device
must have an IP address. If no name is specified, the system assigns a
name.
The <numeric_id> can be an integer between 1 and 255. The system
allows up to 256 aliases for any device.
