3.2.2 Diagnosis steps

The CP system offers extensive diagnostic possibilities via the
PROFIBUS−DP. The diagram below shows you the steps re
quired for diagnosing the CPI system. Only the diagnostic
bits, which require a further diagnostic step, are represented.
Note
The diagnostic information is only sent to the master if the
device−related diagnosis is activated (DIL switch element 8
at ON", see section 1.2.3).
