Fieldbus interface (backplane bus)

Description
Communication between an ET 200pro station and its corresponding higher-level controller
(e.g. SIMATIC S7) takes place using the standard PROFIdrive communication protocol.
Communication within the ET 200pro system takes place via the ET 200pro backplane bus.
The ET 200pro IM 154 interface module creates the interface between the two bus systems.
Communication data
In the factory setting, cyclic communication is established via standard telegram 1 according
to the PROFIdrive profile 4.1.
For PROFIBUS DP, acyclic communication is realized via data set 47, for PROFINET, via
B02E hex and B02F hex.

Diagnostics
The frequency converters provide the standard diagnostics for PROFIBUS and PROFINET.
This means that it is possible to directly output faults and alarms on an HMI (screen of a
control system).

Memory card reader

Description
The memory card reader can be used to back-up the converter's parameters on an external
memory card and, if required, download them back into the converter.
The memory card reader can read and write to SD cards with a memory capacity up to 2 GB.
The card reader cannot read high capacity memory cards (SDHC or SDXC).
