9.3 Firmware upgrade and downgrade
You have successfully updated the converter's firmware to a newer version. When there is
an upgrade your settings will be stored in the converter.
9.3.2

Firmware downgrade

When downgrading firmware you replace the inverter's firmware with an older version. Only
update the firmware to an older level if, after replacing a inverter, you require the same
firmware in all inverters.
Precondition
1. Your inverter's firmware is at least version V4.7.
2. You have saved your settings onto a memory card, in an operator panel or on a PC.
Procedure
To downgrade the inverter's firmware to an older version, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the 24 V inverter power supply.
2. Disconnect the connectors for power supply and motor from the inverter.
3. Disassemble the inverter and remove it from the ET 200pro station.
4. Insert the card with the matching firmware into the slot on the rear side of the inverter until
you can feel it lock in place.
5. Plug the inverter into the ET 200pro station and tighten two of the fixing screws so that
the inverter can no longer unintentionally become detached from the bus module.
6. Switch on the 24 V inverter supply voltage.
