3-2 LP-F10/F10W Mode

This mode gives the compatibility to the RS-232C commands of the older laser marker model LP-F10/F10W, so that the
commands can be used to LP-M/LP-S/LP-Z series.
Notice
• Even with the use of LP-F10/F10W mode, there is a difference in communication processing time and I/O operation
timing between older model of LP-F10/LP-F10W and LP-M/LP-S/LP-Z series. When install the LP-F10/LP-F10W control
program to LP-M/LP-S/LP-Z series, check the data transfer sequence to follow the rule described in "2-6 Communication
Sequence" (P.32).
• Make sure that the command format used for the older laser marker LP-F10/F10W is the same as that of LP-M/LP-S/
LP-Z series specified in "2-5 Communication Data Format" (P.28).
• It is not allowed to use "NUL" 00 (HEX) in the command data with this product. If "NUL" 00 (HEX) is used in the
command data with the older model of LP-F10/LP-F10W series, delete it or move it before the start code or after the
delimiter.

3-2-1 Selecting DIP switch

• The DIP switch is located in rear of the controller.
• The DIP switch is already set to OFF side at factory shipment.

1. Standard mode

DIP Switch No. 7: OFF
DIP Switch No. 8: OFF

2. LP-F10 mode

DIP Switch No. 7: ON
DIP Switch No. 8: OFF
3. LP-F10W mode
DIP Switch No. 7: OFF
DIP Switch No. 8: ON
