Braking System
Park Brake
The park brake is mounted at the rear of the
transmission. It is a drum brake that is applied using
a cable and booster which is activated by a switch in
the corner console.
The park brake has an electric switch mounted on
it that is closed when the park brake is engaged. This
will sound an alarm and illuminate the warning lamp
on the front console if the transmission is moved
into a gear other than neutral when the park brake
is engaged.
PARK BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
1. Park the sprayer on even level ground. Leave the
park brake on so the cabin access ladder remains
down.
2. Chock all wheels of the sprayer, ensuring it cannot
roll while it is being worked on.
3. Wind out the override bolt until it contacts the
clevis arm. Then continue winding for another 5
mm. In the wound out position, the bolt should
measure approximately 45 mm from the top of
the bolt head, to the closest face of the adjuster
bolt mounting plate as shown below.
4. Once the hand brake has been overridden,
the condition of the park brake pads must be
inspected before adjustment of the cable at the
transmission.
5. Use locking nuts (A & B) to adjust the cable
tension at the rear of the transmission. The cable
should be tensioned just enough so the clevis pin
(C) can't be spun by hand.
6. Once adjustments have been made, tighten lock
nuts A & B.
