10 Fault elimination

This chapter describes how to rectify simple operating faults.

10.1 General faults

Cause
No voltage supply
Breaker tripped
Rotary switch of CPU I assembly
moved
Configuration error

10.2 Human-machine interface

Cause
Power supply interrupted.
Error when loading the current
screen in the browser.
Fuse faulty.
Connection cable defective.
IP addresses of visualization and
SCADA are in the same subnet.
PC not in same subnet as visual-
ization.

10.3 Other faults

If you cannot resolve a problem, please contact Maschinenfabrik Rein-
hausen. Please have the following data to hand:
▪ Serial number
– Name plate (can be found on CPU assembly)
▪ Software version [►Section 8.16, Page 166]
Please provide answers to the following questions:
▪ Has the software been updated?
▪ Has there previously been a problem with this device?
▪ Have you previously contacted Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen about this is-
sue? If yes, then who was the contact?
Remedy
Check the voltage supply
Contact Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH
Correct position of rotary switch:
▪ 0 position
▪ RUN position
Contact Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH
Remedy
Check the voltage supply.
Press [F5] key to update the screen.
Contact Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen.
Check connection cable.
Check the setting of the IP addresses of the de-
vice and correct where necessary.
Check the setting of the IP addresses of the de-
