Seat belts, inspecting

Belt latch, visually checking
- Check belt latch for cracks or other damage.
If damaged, replace complete safety belt
with belt latch.
Belt latch, functionally checking
Latch mechanism, checking:
- Push locking tongue into belt latch until it
engages with a click. Pull firmly on belt to be
sure that locking mechanism is properly
engaged.
If belt tongue fails even once when checking
5 times, replace complete safety belt and
latch.
