Condition of toothed belt must be checked for:
Cracks or tears - A - , cross sectional breaks

Lateral scouring - B -
n
Fraying and/or outbreaks - C -
n
Tears in tooth base - D -
n
Layer separation (toothed belt carcass, cord strands)
n
Traces of oil and grease
n
Note:
It is essential to replace toothed belt if malfunctions
n
are found. This will avoid possible break-downs or
operating problems. replacement of a toothed belt is a
repair measure.
Check tension of toothed belt, and tension toothed belt if
necessary
