3D1-18 FRONT SUSPENSION (4WD)
1. Compression rod
2. Compression rod stud nuts
3. Suspension control arm
2) Install suspension control arm (1) to suspension frame, referring
to left figure for proper installing direction of bolt and nut.
NOTE:
Nut should not be tightened.

3) Install ball stud (1) to knuckle (2). Align ball stud groove with
knuckle bolt hole as shown.
Then drive in ball stud bolt from the direction as shown.
Tighten new ball stud nut to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
(a): 55 N
* : Use new nut
1. Knuckle
2. Ball stud
4) Tighten compression rod stud nuts (2) to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
(a): 95 N
5) Install wheel and tighten wheel nuts to specified torque as pre-
viously described.
6) Lower hoist and with in non-loaded condition, tighten suspen-
sion control arm nut to specified torque.
Tightening Torque
(a): 68 N
7) Check toe setting, adjust as required.
