Inserting a SPME Fiber Holder into the SPME Tool

5. Install the TR Station or the ATC Station on the TriPlus RSH as described in the section
"Installing the Tool Stations"
6. Manually, check again the fiber matches with the Protector.
 To insert a SPME fiber holder into the SPME tool
Note The standby position of the SPME Fiber Holder is reversed compared to a syringe.
If the plunger is in the uppermost position, the fiber is pulled back into the sheet needle.
This is the protected position for the fiber.
1. Remove the retaining nut and the SPME Tool Adapter. Insert the SPME Fiber Holder,
making sure the fiber is also inserted.
2. Insert the SPME Tool Adapter such that it sits on the metallic part of the SPME Fiber
Holder. See Figure 55
