Installing a SPME Conditioning Station

Thermo Scientific
To install the SPME Conditioning Station, proceed as follows:
Note Before starting, determine approximately where the SPME Conditioning Station
must be located.
The TriPlus RSH Head has a longer path in the Z-axis, allowing a 20 mL vial to be
completely inserted into the unit, and avoiding any collisions.
If there is not enough space between the X-axis of the TriPlus RSH and the GC top cover,
consider installing the module outside of the GC frame to the far left or far right side.
If the SPME Conditioning Station is installed with an existing TriPlus RSH, another
module might require to be shifted. Remember to re-position the modules accordingly.
To install the SPME conditioning station
1. Loosen the Torx screw on the mounting clamps located on the top side of the Fiber
Conditioning Station.

2. Be sure that the clamps fit entirely into the grooves. Tighten the Torx screw until the
mounting clamps are firmly in place.
3. Double check if the SPME Conditioning Station clamp is correctly hooked to the X-axis.
4. Connect the supplied control cable (daisy chain cable) from the connector on the back
side of the module to the TriPlus RSH Control Interface connector marked BUS.
If BUS connector is already occupied, connect the cable to another Active module with
an open connector. For details see
