Tool not recognized or mismatch with

provides general troubleshooting guidelines regarding the TriPlus RSH:
Possible Cause
Cable from active module to BUS
connector not connected or defective.
Software.
Device firmware not loaded or not on
current level to match with RSH
Firmware version.
Syringe diameter mismatch with Tool
Holder.
Needle Guide Length does not match
with inserted syringe needle length.
Wrong Tool Holder for syringe type.
PCB from tool Holder or from Park
Station defective.
Liquid syringe not primed.
Headspace syringe.
Recommended Action
Check the cable and the connections from the
active module in question to the BUS
connector, or to another active module.
Restart the TriPlus RSH, if still not
recognized, restore the RSH Firmware.
Restore the configuration backup.
Reload a complete new RSH Firmware
package.
Check the syringe diameter with the Tool
Holder specifications.
Refer to the section Handheld Controller in
the TriPlus RSH User Guide for reference value
tables.
Repeat the syringe wizard as described in the
section TriPlus Basic Information in the
TriPlus RSH User Guide.
Check the syringe needle length.
If a mismatch is observed change the TriPlus
RSH tool or the syringe type.
Repeat the syringe wizard as described in
TriPlus Basic Information in the TriPlus RSH
User Guide.
Check the specs for the Tool Holder and
compare data with the syringe used.
Repeat the syringe wizard as described in the
section TriPlus Basic Information in the
TriPlus RSH User Guide.
Check the integrity of the PCB and the
contacts. When in doubt, contact your
Thermo Fisher Scientific representative for
technical assistance.
Do not insert a liquid syringe without priming
with the solvent which will be used by the
application.
To avoid saturation of the polymer plunger tip
with an organic solvent it is highly
recommended not to prime a headspace
syringe at all.
Possible traces of organic solvents can cause
ghost peaks in the next analysis.
