The first released Software version for the TriPlus RSH system was 1.3.0. It is important
to understand the special case of a tool in use with a lower Device Firmware version.
In order to downgrade a TriPlus RSH system the compatibility of the existing device
Firmware with the Firmware version must be considered. The conclusion is that an update
from software version 1.3.0 to a higher version is possible, but for downgrading the lowest
possible software version that can be reached is the version 1.3.2 (recommended).
You can upgrade from software version 1.3.0 to a higher version. Thermo Fisher Scientific
does not recommend downgrading software version lower than 1.3.2.

The prerequisites for a successful Update process are the follows:
• Check the required update path is possible according to the
• Confirm that the Configuration or Diagnostic Backup File from the current software
version is available. This is a safety measure to maintain the possibility of returning back
to the original state. The backup file should be stored on the USB Stick (not in the
directory Autorun), or on any other safe drive outside of the TriPlus RSH.
• Use a RSH Firmware package as provided by Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Important: The must be a file with the extension *.cont.
• The RSH Firmware package has to match with the key.
• If the software file is not already included in the directory Autorun, create the directory
Autorun, and load the file *.cont into it. You must spell Autorun correctly.
