BRAKE SYSTEM
Removal I Inspection I Installation
1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
2. Remove the wheels and tires.
3.
Remove in the order shown in the figure, referring to Removal Note.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to Installation Note.
5.
Inspect all parts and repair or replace as necessary.
6. After installation, take the following steps:
(1) Air bleeding (Refer to page P-6.)
(2) Inspect for brake fluid leakage.
(3) Adjustment of brake shoe clearance
(4) Inspect for the parking brake function and the brake drag.
caution
• Use a specially designed vacuum cleaner or equivalent to clean the brake assembly.
• When removing the drum, support it with a jack.
