RDL-3000 FAMILY
7.5 Setting Up Rapid Auto Provisioning (RAP)
The RAP feature allows an RDL-3000 subscriber (SS) to establish a wireless link with a
sector controller (SC) without pre-registering the MAC address. A RAP enabled options
key must be entered only on the SC. The operator must login as administrator to install
and configure this feature.
To use this feature, the operator must create an STID (Subscriber Template ID) template
on the SC and enter the wireless link settings to be used for this subscriber. The
operator must also create a Service linked to this template to enable data exchange
between the SC and the SS. During registration, the SS provides the name and
password of the STID template to be used to configure the wireless link. The related
Service is activated automatically after the wireless link is successfully established.
