The gas that you use for the DLCO test and the MBW test must meet the
following requirements.
Requirements for the DLCO test gas
The DLCO gas is a gas mixture of the following composition:
• 10% medical grade helium, accuracy ±10%
• 0.3% medical grade carbon monoxide, accuracy ±10%
• 18% to 25% medical grade oxygen, balance nitrogen
The DLCO test requires a gas mixture with an accuracy of <2%.
Requirements for the MBW test gas (EasyOne Pro LAB only)
For the MBW test, you must use pure oxygen that meets the following
requirements:
• Medical grade oxygen
• 100% O
2
• Can be supplied by a compressed gas cylinders or by the hospital's
oxygen supply system
