Feature Information
The IPv6 PACL feature permits or
denies the movement of traffic
between port-based interface,
Layer 3 subnets, wireless or wired
clients, and VLANs, or within a
VLAN.
This feature was supported on
CAT2960, CAT2960S,
CAT3560X, CAT3650,
CAT3560CX, CAT4500.
The following command was
introduced or modified: ipv6
traffic-filter.
Standard IPv6 ACL functionality
was extended to support traffic
filtering based on IPv6 option
headers and optional, upper-layer
protocol type information for finer
granularity of control.
Access lists determine what traffic
is blocked and what traffic is
forwarded at router interfaces and
allow filtering based on source and
destination addresses, inbound and
outbound to a specific interface.
