Install the No.l/2 starter valve arm t o the starter
valves.
Install and tighten the starter valve arm mounting
screws t o the specified torque.
TORQUE: 1 N - m (0.09 kgf-m, 0.7 Ibf-ft)
Install the fast idle wax unit link arm and tighten the
screw t o the specified torque.
TORQUE: 1 N - m (0.09 kgf-m, 0.7 Ibf-ft)
Install the fast idle wax unit (page 5-75).
Turn the starter valve screw until it seats lightly, then
back it out as noted during removal.
Install the throttle body (page 5-71).
Synchronize the starter valve w i t h the engine at the
normal operating temperature and w i t h the trans-
mission i n neutral.
Use a tachometer w i t h graduations o f 50 rpm or
smaller that will accurately indicate 50 r p m change.
Open and support the front end o f the fuel tank (page
3-4).
Disconnect the each cylinder vacuum hose f r o m the 5-
way joint.
Connect the vacuum gauge adaptors t o t h e vacuum
joints, then connect the hoses t o the vacuum gauge.
TOOL:
Vacuum gauge set
Connect the tachometer.
