2-24 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

CHASSIS NUTS AND BOLTS

Tighten initially at five hours of operation and every 30 hours thereafter.
Check that all chassis nuts and bolts are tightened to their specified torque. (Refer to page 2-25 for the
locations of following the nuts and bolts.)
1 Front axle nut
2 Front axle pinch bolt
3 Front fork damper rod bolt
4 Front fork lower clamp bolt
5 Front fork upper clamp bolt
6 Front fork cap bolt
7 Steering stem head nut
8 Handlebar clamp bolt
9 Front brake master cylinder mounting bolt
0 Front brake caliper mounting bolt
A Front brake pad mounting pin
B Brake hose union bolt (front & rear)
C Brake air bleeder valve (front & rear)
D Brake disc mounting bolt (front & rear)
E Swingarm pivot nut
F Rear brake pedal bolt
G Rear shock absorber mounting nut (upper & lower)
H Cushion rod mounting nut
I Cushion lever mounting nut (front)
J Cushion lever mounting nut (center)
K Rear axle nut
L Rear brake pad mounting pin
M Rear brake master cylinder mounting bolt
N Rear brake master cylinder rod locknut
O Seat rail mounting nut (upper)
P Seat rail mounting bolt (lower)
Q Rear sprocket nut
R Side-stand bolt
S Side-stand nut
T Drive chain roller mounting bolt (upper & lower)
U Spoke nipple
