ENGINE
Tighten the crankcase bolts to the specified torque.
Crankcase bolt: 11 N·m (1.1 kgf-m, 8.0 lb-ft)
After the crankcase bolts have been tightened, check if the
crankshaft, countershaft, and driveshaft rotate smoothly. If a
large resistance is felt to rotation, try to free the shafts by
tapping them with a plastic mallet.
STARTER CLUTCH AND GENERATOR
ROTOR
Remove the grease from the tapered portion of the crank-
shaft and the generator rotor.
Install the starter driven gear 1 and key 2.
Tighten the generator rotor nut to the specified torque using
the special tool (DR-Z400) or a 26-mm offset wrench (DR-
Z400E).
09930-44913: Rotor holder
Generator rotor nut: 100 N·m (10.0 kgf-m, 72.5 lb-ft)
