REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REMOVAL

Remove the muffler. ( 3-5)
Remove the battery. (DR-Z400E) ( 7-30)
Remove the clamps.
Disconnect the taillight coupler 1, starter relay coupler 2

(DR-Z400E), and starter relay lead wires 3 (DR-Z400E).

Disconnect the air cleaner breather hose and loosen the car-
buretor clamp.
Remove the seat rail with air cleaner case assembly.
Support the motorcycle with a jack or wooden block and re-
move the rear shock absorber.
