Server Front Panel Features

The following illustration shows the server front panel and describes its features.
Description
Note - The back VGA port supports VESA Device Data Channel for monitor identification.
Eleven PCIe 3.0 slots that accommodate low-profile PCIe cards.
■ All slots support x8 PCIe connections
■ Slots 1 through 7, 9, and 10: x8 connector
■ Slots 8 and 11: x8 or x16 connector
Note - PCIe slots 7 through 11 are only functional in four CPU systems.

Four 10 GbE RJ-45 Ethernet ports (back panel)
Emulex Pilot 3 base management controller (BMC):
■ Supports the industry-standard IPMI feature set
■ Supports remote KVMS, DVD, and floppy over IP, and ISO image over IP
■ Includes serial port
■ Supports Ethernet access to SP through a dedicated 10/100/1000 RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet
(GbE) management port and optionally through one of the host GbE ports (sideband
management)
Two hot-swappable power supplies, each with 1030/2060 watts (low line/high line) capacity,
auto-ranging, light load efficiency mode and redundant over-subscription
■ Six hot-swappable, redundant fans at chassis front (top-loading)
■ Two redundant fans, one in each power supply
The following options are available:
■ Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) on the Service Processor.
■ Oracle System Assistant (OSA) on an optional internal USB flash drive.
■ Oracle Hardware Management Pack.
■ Oracle Enterprise Management Ops Center, which can be downloaded from the Oracle
site.
