4. CHECKING, DISASSEMBLING AND SERVICING

[1] CHECKING AND ADJUSTING

CAUTION
• When checking, park the tractor on flat ground, and stop the engine.

(1) Traveling Brake

Adjusting Brake Pedal
1) Brake Pedal Free Travel
1. Set the parking brake.
2. Slightly depress the brake pedals and measure free travel at the
top of pedal stroke.
IMPORTANT
• Keep the free travel in the right and left brake pedals equal.

NOTE
• Step on the right brake, and the trailer hydraulic brake
allows some pilot oil to flow. This means that the free travel
is different between the left and right brakes.
(1) Brake Pedal
2) Brake Pedal Stroke
1. Disengage the brake pedal lock (2).
2. Depress the brake pedal several time.
3. Step on either side brake pedal and measure the level
difference (pedal stroke) between right and left pedals.
4. Do the same for the other side.
5. If the pedal stroke (L) exceeds the factory specification, check
the air bleeding, master cylinder, equalizer or brake case.
