If adjustment is needed, loosen the lock nut (3) and turn the turnbuckle (2) to adjust the rod length within in acceptable limits.

B2420, WSM GENERAL Adjusting Parking Brake CAUTION • Stop the engine and chock the wheels before checking parking brake pedal. 1. Check free travel of the parking brake pedal (1). 2. If adjustment is needed, pull the parking release lever (2) to release the parking brake, and then loosen the lock nut (3) and the adjust nut (4).

B2420, WSM GENERAL [2] TREAD ADJUSTMENT CAUTION To avoid personal injury: • When working on slopes or when working with trailer, set the wheel tread as wide as practical for maximum stability. • Support tractor securely on stands before removing a wheel.
B2420, WSM GENERAL (2) Rear Wheels IMPORTANT • Always attach tires as shown in the figures. • If not attached as illustrated, transmission parts may be damaged. • When re-fitting or adjusting a wheel, tighten the bolts to the following torques then recheck after driving the tractor 200 m (200 yards) and there after daily check service.
B2420, WSM GENERAL [3] TIRE LIQUID INJECTION Auxiliary weights can be used to increase traction force for plowing in fields or clayey ground. Another way is to inject water or another liquid, such as a calcium chloride solution in the tires. Water must not be used in winter since it freezes at 0 °C (32 °F).

B2420, WSM GENERAL Injection CAUTION • When a calcium chloride solution is used, cool it before pouring it into the tire. • Do not fill tires with water or solution more than 75 % of full capacity (to the valve stem level).

B2420, WSM ENGINE Radiator Water Leakage CAUTION • When removing the radiator cap, wait at least ten minutes after the engine has stopped and cooled down. Otherwise, hot water way gush out, scalding nearby people. 1. Pour a specified amount of water into the radiator.
B2420, WSM ENGINE (4) Fuel System CAUTION • Check the injection pressure and condition after confirming that there is nobody standing in the direction the fume goes. If the fume from the nozzle directly contacts the human body, cells may be destroyed and blood poisoning may be caused.

Install the injection pump pressure tester to the injection pump. 4. Install the injection nozzle (1) jetted with the proper injection pressure to the injection pump pressure tester (2).
